• Ran comparative / competitive analysis on new features, facilitated focus groups and user interviews, and constructed journey maps to use as a primary communication tool between cross-functional teams.

• Created lo-fi and hi-fi mockups, prototypes, and facilitated user testing to ensure customer-driven results.

• Led efforts to create modular design system and hand-crafted web components that is widely adopted throughout our UI

• Contributed to internal developer style guide with components imported from Sketch, Figma, and ReactJS components.

• Led many high-impact projects among product team of 8 engineers and 2 designers; transformed existing engineering processes to allow communication and transparency between fellow team members and stakeholders.

• Pared down feature list by 40% to enable more rapid development of critical products.

• Optimized our product to handle scale, lower memory footprint, and increased app performance by up to 94%.

• Built initial prototype / minimum viable product which allowed users to quickly search through itineraries based on a user’s mood and search preference.

• Led team of 3 (2 engineers, one tester) through two moderate pivots, redefining strategy and shifting team to new vision.

• Developed company dashboard to enable tracking of user engagement.

• Developed website along with one other engineer using Ruby on Rails, jQuery, TypeScript, SCSS, Bootstrap, MongoDB.

DVD Your Memories / The Click Experts

Hybrid Web Developer / Designer June 2008 - June 2012

DVD Your Memories was the first business that I worked with that primarily focused on SEO for lead generation.  I was referred to them while working at The Click Experts to create their website and design, and learned a great deal from their web team on effective SEO given that I had contributed greatly to their results.
